An Answer to my
Like or Love Poem
-by Monique
Is it that moment when I look in her eyes and it seems like all time stops?
Eyes are always doors to the soul...
Is it the feeling that I get when I hear her voice, that sends tingles down
my spine and lifts my spirits up?
A sweet voice can always find a way to open ears, but it is the content of
the speech that makes the heart really listen
So can someone tell me then, what is Love?
It's an overwhelming feeling that can hardly be described. It's not for
anybody to tell, it's for you to feel...
People say it's not physical
Can it possibly be mental?
Dunno, because that could mean Love without sight is possible
Mental, physical, and spiritual is the way to go when it comes to true love
So where does actual Love lie?
In the depths of the soul...
Is it in the hearts of the perfect couple...
The ones who do it all together...
Who can't be without each other?
Aaaaaah, could be...the perfect couple to you, may not be the perfect couple
to me. Besides, who in da hell is perfect and who said love was perfect?
If it was, not so many would be hurt by it or SCARED of it....
Or is it in the anger of 2 people who seemingly can't stand each other...
Fight every public moment of their not-so-great lives...
But behind closed doors know that with out the other, their life would be
incomplete?
This I would call insanity...but people approach love at different angles, I
think I took this road before...
Beats the hell out of me
All I know is that I've experienced Like
And liking comes before loving, so you took the first step, why not take the
second and see if that person is someone you can honestly love no matter
what comes into play...even if it's trifling, if you love that person
afterwards, then that's true love
Been there, done that, moved on....
So tell me
Where does the Love come in?
My brother, love comes in like a thief in da night. He comes invited or
not. He embraces his victim or he strangles him into utter confusion. Love
is love. Invited or not, he'll make an impact in your life and who is to
say that it would be for the better or the worse? Only time can tell...
